Star Trek is an American science fiction entertainment series. Its universe was created by Gene Roddenberry and was first shown in 1966. It collected a large following, making it one of the biggest cult phenomena of all times. Along with the making of its six TV series and ten feature films, it also has now become a media franchise having video games, novels, and even a Las Vegas themed attraction.
