Star Trek XI, or Star Trek (as it is the eleventh entry in the Star Trek film series), is based on the original universe created by Gene Roddenberry. It is directed by Lost-producer, J.J. Abrams, who will co-produce with Damon Lindelof. It will be under Paramount Pictures and will be released on December 25, 2008.
